Many of our travel partners are still navigating what a “new normal” will look like when travel resumes. Everyone is concerned about what safety protocols will include during flights, hotel stays, and cruising. Please note the information below is changing, and the Uniglobe Travel Designers team is staying informed of all changes. We will do our best to keep this document updated but please keep in mind the below information is based on our travel partners’ independent policies and is subject to change.
Please see our Coronavirus Update for our resource guide to COVID-19 cancellations and rescheduling.
Tips from our team moving forward:
- Bring and wear your own mask. Most airlines are requiring this, but not all will be providing them.
- Arrive at the airport early in anticipation of a longer check-in and security process. Many airlines are temporarily shutting down their self-service kiosks.
- Bring hand sanitizer and wipes with you. Some airlines, but not all, will provide them.
- Make sure you pack some snacks! Some airlines are pausing food and drink service.
- Wipe down contacted areas in the gate area and on board your flight. Don’t forget your tray table!
- Do not travel if you are sick or have COVID-19 symptoms.
- Be sure to save Uniglobe Travel Designers’ office number and after-hours emergency number in your phone for any issues and travel interruptions.
- Talk to Uniglobe Travel Designers about purchasing travel insurance before your trip. We always recommend it (pandemic or not)!
- Enroll in the STEP (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program) on their website.
- Review CDC guidelines for travelers here.
