Elsie Blount purchased the business in 1996 and, with a team of two consultants, grossed $800,000 in revenue during her first year as president and owner, establishing a business model focused on customer service and integrity that we uphold today.
In the last 20 years, the business has experienced remarkable growth, with the acquisition of Uniglobe Precise Travel in 2012 and Uniglobe Accent Travel in 2017, combined with a heavy emphasis on outreach and networking.
Since Ms. Blount McCormick was named President/CEO of the agency in 2012, revenues grew by forty-three percent. Under her leadership, Uniglobe Travel Designers has grown from a local business with three employees to nationwide company of 38 employees with staff working in ten different states from which they serve 495 customers in 31 states.
Our business operations are approximately 15% leisure travel and 85% corporate travel. We service predominately education (K-12, School Districts and Higher Education institutions), as well as other industries located all over the United States. Travel consists of business travel, conferences, educational group travel and athletic team travel, both domestic and international.
